POWELL’S CITY OF BOOKS

Are you an ardent book lover? Then this place is all that you need to visit. They have a huge area of about 68,000 square feet that is stacked with books. They have 3,500 different sections of books, which include out of print, rare, technical, hard-to-find, academic and obviously, brand new and the latest ones as well.

PORTLAND JAPANESE GARDEN

Enjoy in nature’s lap with Portland Japanese Garden. The area occupies about 5.5 acres of land and brings together tradition and culture of Japan along with the calmness and beauty of nature. The garden is made up of a tranquil framework of water, plants, and stone in five well-defined garden forms. You can visit this place to experience peace and calmness while taking a walk along the bridges, pagodas, lanterns, and pathways while enjoying the absolutely breathtaking scenic views.

PORTLAND ART MUSEUM

Established in 1982, this museum is a must-visit on your trip to Portland. It is the oldest museum in the entire Pacific Northwest which makes it pretty special. The museum even holds a Van Gogh painting, “The Ox-Cart,” which was generously donated to it in the year 2007. Apart from this, the museum includes various paintings, fine English silver, Native American basketry and pottery and modern and contemporary art from all over Europe and America.

One of the most happening places in Portland, this is a fun place with a crowd where you can shop, eat or just stroll and relax watching others have the time of their lives. The place has a combination of both Coffeehouses, boutiques, bars and restaurants which are mixed with quaint old homes and storefronts. You can pass the entire day trying various delicious cuisines, sitting in a coffee shop, shopping or just listening to music.
