The oldest town on the east coast of Africa, Tadjoura is also called White town because of the whitewashed homes in the town. It offers great views of the waterfront and is ideal for strolling in the late afternoons. You will notice a number of locals out and about in the evening. This is one location which is surrounded by desert on all the sides. You will sight markets, narrow alleys and food stalls inside the city. It is the rugged Africa at its best. The Gulf of Tadjoura

The plain is located between Lake Abhe and Hanle Plain which is an ideal place for bird watchers. It is the only place with an active breeding ostrich population. Doralé and Khor Ambado
