Disneyland resorts include the big 3 hotels situated close to Disney land. Unlike other hotels, these 3 are designed to give you a true Disney experience. You can buy Disney merchandise and get it delivered to your rooms. The coolest part is getting a wakeup call from your favorite Disney characters. How cool would it be, when Mickey calls to wake you up? Above all this, most people prefer the big three for the extra magic hour. This is a perk that allows people who stay in the big 3 to enter the park an hour before the official park opening time. 

THE SEVEN LANDS

Disney land comprises of 7 lands in addition to the Main street. Each one of these lands is designed thematically and filled with cartoon characters and marvelous imaginations that are sufficient to feed you with fantasy for the next few years. These 7 lands are

  • Critter country
  • Fantasyland
  • Frontierland
  • Toontown
  • New Orleans Square
  • Tomorrowland

ADVENTURE LAND

Adventureland is where you can find unique and mind-blowing locations. This includes the Enchanted Tiki Room, Pirates of the Carribean and Jungle Cruise as well. You can even find the Magic carpet of Aladdin here. Play the wild games with the pirates and jump around the wild with the jungle cruise. 

CRITTER COUNTRY

Are you a Pooh fan? This is the perfect place for you. The critter country was originally called the bear land, where you can relive the experiences of Winnie the Pooh. Play with some honey and purchase merchandise exclusive to Pooh at the critter country. Ride on the Canoe around Tom Sawyer’s Island only at the Critter Country.

FANTASYLAND

Fantasyland will make you experience the princess’s life. Check out for Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping beauty Castle Walkthrough and Snow White’s adventure. You can even be a part of Pinocchio’s daring journey or Peter Pan’s flight. Fantasyland is the best place you’ll ever visit if you wish to share time with the princess. 

FRONTIER LAND

Thrills and adventures find a home in the Frontierland. This is for sailors and explorers. You can go rafting to Tom Sawyer’s Island or you can take up the sailing ship to Columbia. Give your adrenaline a rush with the wild journey in the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Play with guns at the Shooting Exposition exclusively located at the Frontierland. 

TOONTOWN

This is for the little kids who love to see the toons in real. Toontown is the homeland of almost all Disney characters. Visit the Chip and Dale treehouse and Goofy’s playhouse. There is an exclusive Gadget’s Go Coaster for the kids. Visit locations like the Mickey and Minnie house and Donald’s boat and leave your kids happy with the character greetings. Kids will be excited at the sight of their favorite toons greeting them in real life. 

NEW ORLEANS SQUARE

New Orleans Square houses the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Carribean and Disney Railroad. This location was designed to give the feel of New Orleans Square and it booms continuously with Jazz music. This also includes a few merchandise stores and dining spots. 

TOMORROWLAND

The most attractive spots in Tomorrowland include the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster and Finding demo Submarine Voyage. You can Trail the Temple with Jedi and can ride in the Disneyland Monorail. This could be an interesting location for space lovers. And of course, for Star war fanatics this is the hometown.

Apart from this, the Disney California Adventure which opened up recently in 2012, includes 5 lands. This is except Buena Vista street.

  • Hollywood Land
  • Pacific Wharf
  • Pixar Pier 

DINING – Disneyland dining has several options where you can choose from. The best part here is the Character Dining. This lets you spend more time with the Disney Characters. You can click cool and crazy pictures with these characters and you can get their autographs. 

SEASON AND CROWD- The most popular times when Disneyland gets overcrowded are during New Year and Christmas.  Apart from this Halloween is another celebration famous in Disneyland? 

Disneyland is very particular about no specific Christmas parties.

The off-site hotels are best if you are looking for a value trip. All the locations within the Disney are at a walkable distance and there are no long trek journeys within Disneyland.
